Jack Grealish refused to say definitively that he will still be an Aston Villa player next season, following their 1-0 win over Arsenal on Tuesday.
The Villa captain put in a man of the match of the performance against the Gunners to help propel Dean Smith's team out of the relegation zone with just one game left to play.
The display was the latest in a string of match-winning performances from Grealish that have fuelled speculation over his future. Manchester United have been most strongly linked and 90min was told last month that the club continue to work on a deal for playmaker. However, they are waiting to see whether Villa survive before stepping up their efforts.
Speaking after the game, the 24-year-old remained coy over his future plans when questioned (via Sky Sports).
When asked if he had played his final game at Villa Park, Grealish responded: "I'm not too sure at the moment.
"I have one aim and that is to keep this club in the Premier League, where this whole fanbase know we belong."
Since the Premier League restarted, Grealish has been struggling to influence games like he had earlier on in the season, leading to criticism from Sky Sports pundit Graeme Souness. Against Arsenal though, he was on top fom.
"Since we've been back I probably haven't been as effective as I was before," he added.
"I don't really mind pressure - pressure is a privilege, my old coach used to always say that to me. I just need to do what I know I can do."
Villa's victory and Watford's hefty 4-0 defeat to Manchester City has set up a mouth watering final day of the season. Norwich are already relegated and the remaining places in the drop zone will be occupied by two of three teams.
Bournemouth are in the biggest trouble and only a Cherries win against Everton and defeats for Watford and Villa will see them safe. To stay up, the Villans - who take on West Ham - need to match or better Watford's result against Arsenal.
