Alpay bid rejected

Graeme Souness offered full-back John Curtis in a part exchange deal but Villa have told the Rovers boss they want cash only for the Turkish international defender.

"We made an enquiry for Alpay and we were looking at a swap deal but we were told it wasn't a possibility," Souness told the Lancashire Evening Telegraph.
