Alpay wants to stay in England

Alpay, who has been promised a fresh start at Villa by new manager David O'Leary, is set to turn down a chance to return to Turkey with Fenerbahce in favour of staying in the Premiership.

"There is an offer from Fenerbahce but I do not want to go back to Turkey at the moment.

"I will stay in England," the 30-year-old defender told the Birmingham Evening Mail.
