The 29-year-old signed a four-year deal in the summer of 2004 but has failed to retain a regular place in attack this season, following the summer signings of Kevin Phillips and Milan Baros, as well as the emergence of youngster Luke Moore. He has been linked with countless Spanish clubs but denies he is seeking a move away. "I would like to end my career in this team where I am treated well," said Angel, a £9.5m signing from Argentinian side River Plate in 2001. "I'm very happy where I am. Even when things have not gone well, the fans have stayed with me, my family has totally adapted to this country too."
