Baros future in doubt

The former Liverpool forward has been used sparingly this season, a decision justified by a return of just one goal in 18 appearances, albeit largely as a substitute. He was close to joining Hamburg last summer and is expected to attract interest from Spain and France this month and O'Neill is not sure if Villa can keep hold of him. "I wouldn't be sure if [Baros] wanted to stay," he said O'Neill. "If a striker is not scoring goals then he is going to ask himself some questions. [Baros] is still trying to find the form that earned him a move to Liverpool and won him the golden boot [in Euro 2004]."
