Baros poised for return

The Czech striker, who will be 24 on Friday, has been dogged by the injury since last month's win over Wycombe in the League Cup - a problem made worse after he was given an injection to enable him to play in the Czech Republic's recent World Cup qualifier with the Netherlands. Baros has made a slow recovery, however, and could return for Monday's Premiership match. "He is into light training and we will look at him between now and the weekend," assistant coach Roy Aitken said. "We will see how Baros is and if he is fine he will push on Saturday and Sunday, with a view to the game on Monday."

Defender Aaron Hughes could also be available after missing the midweek League Cup win over Burnley because of a slight reaction to a hernia problem, which had required surgery.
