Barry not concerned with relegation talk

Villa travel to Upton Park to face third from bottom side West Ham and they are only six points clear of the Hammers in the Premiership table.

However, England under-21 captain Barry believes that with Villa boss Graham Taylor's experience the side will collect enough points to steer clear of the dreaded drop zone.

Barry told the Press Association: "Since I have been at Villa there's never been no need to worry about relegation. Only a couple of players will have experienced it before.

"This is my first real experience of being this low in the table and we have always been in the top seven or eight and close to, or qualifying for, Europe.

"It has been hard for us to get another win since we defeated Blackburn at the start of February and so that makes the game at West Ham as big as they come.

"But we will learn from this experience and we've got an experienced manager as well who's been there and done it before during his career so we will be okay.

"I am certainly not thinking about relegation and we are not going into games thinking about it. That's the attitude the manager has told us to have and that's the important thing for us to do."
