MATCH PREVIEW

Just four points separate Bolton and Aston Villa, but the mood among their respective supporters could not be further apart.

With three months of the season left we believe that there are 10 massively important Premier League matches left to play... We are in a very promising position and it's crucial that we keep performing and doing all the right things

Bolton captain Kevin Davies

While Wanderers fans are dreaming of their best-ever Premier League finish and a first FA Cup final in over 50 years, Villa appear resigned to merely avoiding relegation.

Gerard Houllier has suffered a barrage of criticism for his controversial decision to make eight changes to the Villa side for the 3-0 FA Cup defeat by Manchester City on Wednesday. It was surely an admission by the Frenchman that he fears for the club's Premier League status. Never the most popular of characters at Villa Park, only three points at the Reebok are likely to stem the anger being aimed at Houllier.

Villa's season of disappointment is in stark contrast to that of Bolton, who have European football in their sights. Three points for Owen Coyle's men would see them leapfrog Liverpool into sixth place, with the Merseyside club not in action until Sunday.
