Booing doesn't bother Taylor

"It has been a lousy season for us, I know that and you know that," he told the crowd from the Villa Park pitch.

"But I would like to thank you for your support through what has been a very frustrating season."

The Villa fans were having none of it however, and Taylor's speech was met with loud booing from most sections of Villa Park.

"I would expect them to boo," said the Villa boss.

"There was booing and if they were booing me then I'm not bothered by it. Hurt? Somebody booing you because you have had a bad season? What do you expect them to do?

"If I had been up there I would have booed as well, but you get on with things.

"The biggest frustration for me these past couple of months has been talking about negative things all the time. Let's now be positive.

"We have won the game and there is next season to look forward to so let's go for that."
