The Chelsea first may be one of the best in the world but the Villa youth team will be hoping to topple their Stamford Bridge counterparts on Friday night.
The Claret and Blue academy has seen a spectacular progression since the turn of the Millennium with the youth side having won the F.A. Youth Cup in 2002.
Products of the famed academy include Gabby Agbonlahor and Craig Gardner who are now in the first team.
The current side have all the talent of their predecessors and have knocked out some established sides on their run to the semi-finals of the Youth Cup. Players such as Nathan Delfouneso and Harry Forrester will be eagerly watched as the Villa look to claim an away day victory at the Bridge.
The tie is of course played over two legs but an early advantage could be the key. Tony McAndrew will have pointed out the dangers that await, including the form of Chelsea's Gael Kakuta. The attacking midfielder scored a hat-trick in the quarter finals against Port Vale at Vale Park as the Blues won resoundingly.
The French winger is often given the ball in the hope that he will produce something special and he starred not only against Port Vale, but also in the ties against Leicester and Shrewsbury.
However, the young phalanx at Villa will be up for the fight as they look to follow in the footsteps of Luke Moore and co who beat Wayne Rooney's Everton six years ago.
Martin O'Neill is likely to be watching on as usual, his commitment to the cause emphasised by the fact that he flew back from Spain to watch the quarter final win at Carlisle.
The youngsters will be out to impress and they definitely have the capabilities to win the battle of the Bridge. Chelsea may just be classed as the underdogs on this occasion.
