Class Laurs finally agrees new deal

Holte hero Martin Laursen will finally put pen to paper on a new deal. The Danish defender will sign a two year deal on Friday, much to the delight of all Villa fans.
Laursen has been the star of the season so far for Martin O'Neill's men and has not only provided immense defensive stability but has also chipped in with six goals. That record makes him just one goal shy of Villa's top scorer Gabby Agbonlahor, which is amazing considering they spend most of their time on the pitch at opposite ends.
He is a man feared by all Premiership managers and his ability to score from set pieces has made Villa the best in the league from dead ball situations. This has gained recognition from top flight defenders who find Ashley Young's deliveries and Martin Laursen's movement just too much to handle.
The campaign for Laursen to sign a new contract has been building over recent weeks with many fans realising that it is not necessarily new players that will lead the charge for Europe. It is the heroes from within that will play the biggest part.
Laursen will now be comfortable in the knowledge that his future at Villa Park is secured and hopefully continue his fantastic form. He could even find himself as top scorer at the end of the season. He is that good!
