"I try not to worry about the squad. I think that would be detrimental to my game," said Vassell.
"I just try to relax and concentrate on my Villa form and normally that seems to get me into England squads.
"But I think it might be hard this time. I haven't really hit any major form for Villa this season so it might be hard this time to get selected for the championships.
"I've just got to concentrate on having a strong end to the season."
