The England manager was expected to attend the Manchester derby FA Cup? semi-final but decided to stay in Madrid to watch 'El Clasico' Real Madrid against Barcelona.
Capello was in the Spanish capital on Thursday to receive a 'Real Madrid legend'award for winning La Liga in each of his stints at the club.

But he was due to return to work in England this weekend. After all, this stage of the English season might have taught him a lot about how the latest crop of England hopefuls perform under extreme stress.
It is sure to give further ammunition to those who have claimed that Capello's heart isno longer in his job after his World Cup failure and is only going through the motions as England manager.
