The midfielder is currently nursing an Achilles problem that has required specialist attention.
The England international, who is on loan at Aston Villa from Tottenham, picked up the knock shortly after completing a switch to the Midlands.
He is yet to make an appearance for Alex McLeish's side, leaving him frustrated on the sidelines.
Jenas is, however, confident that he is closing on a return to action.
The 28-year-old has been in London seeking medical help and claims he is all set to push ahead with a fitness regime intended to return him to peak fitness as soon as possible.
"On the train back to birmz," he wrote on his Twitter account.
"Got the all clear from the specialist to start my rehab so hopefully I'll be back playin soon!"
