Villa had an estimated fee of £3million rejected by the Elland Road club at the end of last week but manager David O'Leary was so keen to sign the 23-year-old England international that they upped their bid to £3.25million.
This fee seems to have satisified the cash-strapped Yorkshire side and it now seems its just up to both Villa and player to agree personal terms.
