Knight looks for new dawn

From the moment he was signed from Fulham last August, the future looked bright for the big defender. He had joined the club he supported as a boy and looked set for a first team place in his dream team. Zat Knight was ready to finally hit the heights at a stadium that felt like home.
Knight started his Claret and Blue career brilliantly. He put in some immediately commanding performances; none more so than against
Chelsea as he scored the opening goal in a fantastic 2-0 win for Villa.
However, it all turned sour for Knight as he suffered a rare off day against Manchester United and then got injured shortly afterwards. That meant Curtis Davies was given the chance he had been waiting for and he didn't miss the boat.
Davies quickly made an impression and scored at
Wigan to solidify his place in the team. Knight was left out in the cold, warming the substitutes bench. But, it has been said that football is a game of swings and roundabouts. Thankfully for Knight, he will now once again hit the swings.
The big £3.5 million buy will regain his place in the first team as Davies is now the one who is crocked. He will miss the rest of the season due to an achilles injury which could keep him out for up to 7 months.
Knight would never have wished that upon Curtis, but he will look to make sure the on loan defender will be playing European football when he returns next season, He will also look to make sure that he will be playing in the same side.
