Now Delaney hints at exit!

The international full-back, who is currently preparing for Wales' Euro 2004 qualifier with Italy, feels he has been frozen out of things at Villa and is upset at how he has been treated by Villa boss Graham Taylor.

The 26-year-old will give Taylor until January and the onset of the transfer 'window' to start picking him - or he'll begin looking for another club.

The Wales defender has grown increasingly frustrated at losing his Villa place - he has played only once in the last six weeks.

He said: "Graham Taylor hasn't said much to me, which is disappointing, so it's nice to get away because it is a difficult time for me at the moment at Villa. The manager has changed the system and brought a few players in but you've got to put your head down and get on with things.

"If things don't materialise in a couple of months I'm going to have to look elsewhere, because it is going to effect my international career. At the moment Wales is on a high and I want to continue to be involved in that.

"When you don't know where you stand at a club that you enjoy playing for it's a bit confusing, so hopefully it will be resolved."

Delaney becomes another of the club's stars expressing a concern at a lack of first-team opportunities - just this week both Alan Wright and Steve Stone spoke out on the subject.
