O'Neill Admits City Deserved To Win

"We didn't play well in the first half and Manchester City deserved to win," the Villa boss said after the 3-1 home defeat.

"We were second best for almost all of the first half.

"We got ourselves together in the second half and got into the game at 2-1 and I thought if we could equalise we may go on and win the game.

"We put Manchester City on the back-foot but the third goal killed us off and they won comfortably.

"Overall we played poorly and no doubt the owner, Randy Lerner, will be disappointed with the performance.

"Generally, I've been pleased with the team but against Manchester City we were frail and we were exposed."
