Second half performance 'unacceptable' - O'Leary

1-0 up at half time, a scoreline that should have at least shown double that, Villa let the game slip from their grasp and in the end were well and truly beaten by a side who hadn't previously won at their new home ground.

"I've asked a few people what happened. The second half was not acceptable," sid the Villa boss after the drubbing at the City of Manchester Stadium.

"I knew the game would be tough here. We did nothing in the second half and we were punished.

"We can't afford to give people the start we did.

"I think my type of teams will take chances but we cannot play the way we did in the second half away from home.

"We were a different team in the second half to the first and did nothing.

"We cannot give teams a start as we did with the first couple of goals."
