Schmeichel in action...
Schmeichel hopes to get the all-clear to make a sentimental return to Old Trafford to face his old side, having missed Villa's last three games with the injury he suffered saving a penalty against Charlton Athletic at The Valley last month.

The Danish legend has recently made a return to training and looks certain to line-up against United in a High Noon showdown.

Villa, who are unbeaten in their last seven Premiership games, could make two changes to the side that was held to a draw by Chelsea in Graham Taylor's first game in charge earlier this month.
As well as being able to recall Schmeichel, Taylor also looks set to be boosted by the return to action of Mellberg.

The Swedish international central defender limped out of the 1-1 stalemate against Chelsea after suffering a recurrence of a groin strain that saw him miss his country's friendly against Greece last week.
Mellberg is back in training and poised to resume his partnership with Steve Staunton but Alpay's ankle ligament damage sees him miss out again.
