Southgate wants Moore

Southgate himself was taken from Villa during a two-year spell that also saw Ugo Ehiogu and George Boateng move to the Riverside in search of silverware. They have not looked back, the 2004 Mickey Mouse Cup and a 4-0 UEFA Cup final defeat the crowning glories of a halcyon period in the north-east. Now they want Moore to link up with another target, Jeremie Aliadiere, as possible replacements for Mark Viduka and Yakubu Ayegbeni. The 21-year-old struggled through injury this season but even when fully fit he has not been first choice and reports claim he is targeting a move to get more action. Let's hope not.
