Newspapers were reporting Villa with a move to tempt Leicester boss Micky Adams to take over from Taylor, reports the club have vehemently denied.
"It's just press talk all the time. Howard Wilkinson has gone at Sunderland and Terry Venables has gone at Leeds and I'm next in line," Taylor told the club's official website.
"If results are not going well people look at the manager. I'm no different from anyone else, but I've got a year left on my contract."
