Taylor hails Enckleman

The Villa keeper, so often the subject of cruel remarks, kept the Hammers strike force at bay with some great saves after Villa had surrendered a 2-1 lead and were undoubtedly on the back-foot.

"Every goalkeeper makes mistakes and in this age of television they are repeated over and over again, but you don't see the great saves shown again," said Taylor.

"This is his first year as number one, having taken over from Peter Schmeichel, and if he is going to be the number one then he has to come through these things.

"He was superb today and I think he is a very good goalkeeper."
