Moore, who has forced his way into Taylor’s first team squad this season, is currently sidelined with a knee ligament injury but the Villa boss has added his name to the youngsters he has already signed up on longer deals.

Jlloyd Samuel, Thomas Hitzlsperger, Peter Enckelman, Liam Ridgewell and Peter Whittingham have all signed longer deals at the club and now Taylor has convinced Moore to do the same.

Moore, who has pledged his future to the Villa until 2006 told www.avfc.co.uk: “I’m happy to sort out my future."

My contract ran out at the end of this season, so I’m happy to get it all sorted out and I can get back to playing for Aston Villa now.

“I just want to play for Villa now, get a few games under my belt and score a few goals. “There’s some good young players at Aston Villa and they’re all signing new deals, so the future looks great.”
