Swedish international defender Olof Mellberg is unlikely to be risked after picking up an Achilles injury and first choice keeper Peter Enckelman is suspended and will be replaced by Stefan Postma.
Assistant boss John Deehan believes that the Worthington Cup is Villa's best hope of a place in Europe next season.
"We have entered this competition to win it," Deehan said.
"And because of that, we will field our strongest team."
