Dublin, the club's leading scorer last season with 14 goals, knows only too well that Villa under achieved last season but is convinced that the new boss has the players at the club to get Villa a European spot next season.

"I don't know whether David O'Leary will be given any money to spend but I do know the players already here can achieve," said Dublin.

"He may not agree, but I think we have more than enough talent at the club to finish in the top six and qualify for Europe.

"Aston Villa has become a sleeping giant but he could definitely turn things around for us.

"The players have a lot to prove and it has given us all the motivation to do well.

"We have to try and copy the likes of Blackburn and Everton, who did tremendously last year to finish sixth and seventh," he added.

"They are not massive clubs like Arsenal, who have lots of money to spend and have achieved a lot more.

"Our squad is just as good as Blackburn's and Everton's and I think we can finish above them in the top six next season."
