Villa linked with Matusiak

The 24-year-old discussed his future with the central Polish side last week, which the outfit's president concluded by declaring Matusiak will soon be on his way to England. The Lodz-born forward, who has scored twice in four international appearances to date, is also attracting attention from Serie A's Livorno, as well as a host of Spanish sides and domestic giants Legia Warsaw. The interest is testament to the recent improvement of Matusiak, who first caught the eye as a member of the Poland team that finished runners-up at the European Under-16s Championship in 1999.
