Villa net £125,000 on Murray sale

Villa sold the Scottish winger to Bristol in December 1997 for £150,000 and part of the deal included a 25% cut of any sell-on fee the Robins may collect on the player.

Twenty-nine-year-old Murray has joined first division promotion hopefuls Reading for £650,000 meaning Villa stand to collect £125,000 from the Robins.
