"We'll do something in January"

Villa lost 2-1 to Spurs at White Hart Lane to make it seven games without a win and the new year can't come soon enough for O'Neill. "[Paul Robinson] kicked the ball 80 yards, it was flicked on and Jermain Defoe is in on goal. It's great for Spurs but debilitating for us," he lamented. "The squad has been a bit weak. I knew that in August and we were unable to do anything about it at that stage. In January we'll try to do something to give these players a bit of help." Spurs' Robbie Keane, Blues defender Matthew Upson and Reading duo Steve Sidwell and Kevin Doyle are all apparently on the wish list.
