Villa have snapped up England under-21 midfielder Fabian Delph from Leeds for an undisclosed fee.

The 19 year-old had been linked with Man City and Everton but Villa beat them both to the whiz kid thanks to the way in which the transfer was conducted.

Leeds will be sad to lose their key man but many fans are wishing the young player luck as he looks to make a big impression in the Premier League.

Delph has openly admitted that he is amazed by the stature of Villa and he is now looking forward to working under Martin O'Neill.

And with the Claret and Blue taking part in four competitions this term it surely won't be long before the starlet makes his competitive debut.

He is likely to make his first appearance in a Villa shirt on Saturday at home to Italian side Fiorentina.
