SWP on way to VP?

Villa are set to make a bid for Chelsea's Shaun Wright-Phillips.
The winger, also a target for Portsmouth, would cost around £12million but it is not yet known whether he features in Phil Scolari's first team plans.
Wright-Phillips has fallen out of the England reckoning, having been replaced in the squad by Blackburn man David Bentley.
Ironically, Bentley was Villa's top summer transfer target but the Midlanders baulked at his £18million price tag.
Fans of the Claret and Blue will fancy Wright Phillips who was a constant thorn in Villa side when at Man City.
Many will remember a wonder goal which he scored at Villa Park on the final day of the 2004/05 season.
And with the price tag not unreasonable the possibility of the winger facing his former club on the first day of the new season is not unthinkable.
But Martin O'Neill is likely to face competition from Pompey for his signature.
Harry Redknapp has already hinted he is interested and with funds available on the south coast, Wright-Phillips may have an interesting choice to make.
