De la Cruz suffers Ecuador defeat

Tomasz Klos, Euzebiusz Smolarek and Sebastian Mila were all on target as Jawel Janas' side sauntered to an easy victory in tretcherous conditions in Spain. The writing was on the wall when Polish captain Klos gave the European side the lead inside three minutes, and although Ecuador came back into the game before half-time, with De la Cruz forcing a smart save with a low long-range shot, they never looked dangerous. Smolarek doubled Poland's advantage just before the hour mark before Mila sealed the win in injury time, after battling build-up work from Spurs' Grzegorz Rasiak.
