Villa's academy side have now failed to win in three games after suffering a 1-0 defeat at Watford.
Tony McAndrew's youngsters were not at their fluent best and were beaten by a second half strike from Gavin Massey.
The Claret and Blue youth went into the game on the back of a 2-2 draw against Cardiff and, more recently, a 3-2 defeat against Leicester.
They were far from outclassed against the Hornets but McAndrew's men never really got a foothold in the game and were punished as Massey rounded Thomas Dau to fire the winner.
