Sutton Hoping For Blades Return

Sutton missed last Saturdays home game against Middlesbrough with a calf injury but scans have revealed the the veteran striker has no long term damage and he is expected to be fit in time for Villa's game against The Blades on 11th December.

"It's a shame for Chris. He did the injury whilst out for a run by himself," Villa boss Martin O'Neill revealed.

"He didn't think it was much and then suddenly the scans suggested it was a wee bit more than that.

"It's not a long-term injury and he should be recovered and in contention for the Sheffield United game - but I might be wrong."
